  • Removal of old Blackboard courses beginning June 6 (Wednesday, May 18, 2016)

    To All Blackboard Instructors:

Each June we begin the process of deleting old courses in an effort to free up resources on the Blackboard servers. We do this in accordance to the Blackboard Course Removal policy, which states that we will keep Blackboard courses on the server for a period of 4 years. After that time, the courses will automatically be removed from Blackboard.

What does this mean for you as an instructor?  If you have courses in Blackboard from Summer 2011-2012 or earlier, these courses will be removed from the system beginning June 6.  This deletion only applies to semester based courses. Long term courses for committees, organizations, IS, and ISHS are exempt from this deletion and will remain in Blackboard.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, you can contact the FTDC at 662-915-7918 or
